ABOUT DR. AHRAR

Dr. Ahrar earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Minnesota State University at Mankato, where he also played varsity tennis for four years. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the prestigious Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. Doctor Ahrar completed several professional externship programs at the Illinois Eye Institute, the University of Chicago, and the Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind. His externship specialties included Pediatric Eye Care, Contact Lenses, Low Vision and Advanced Care. Dr. Ahrar is a member of the Minnesota Optometric Association and has been a member of the American Optometric Association for 7 years. He is Board Certified to diagnose and treat eye diseases.


		Doctor Ahrar provides comprehensive eye care for the entire family and he especially enjoys Pediatric eye care and the challenges of hard to fit Contact Lenses. Dr. Ahrar has been married to his wife (Jennifer) for seven years and they have a four year old son. They enjoy camping, playing tennis and going for family walks with their English Springer Spaniel. Doctor Ahrar lives in Lakeville and continues to be an active member of the Lakeville area community. During his free time, he enjoys attending local high school athletic events and cheering on the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.
